Yesterday the temperature soared above 100 degrees and it was too hot to think straight. Having a dog forces you out into the elements. We asked the boy what he wanted to do thinking a DVD in the coolness of our basement would be in order. Instead, he wanted to go to the zoo. Um, no. Instead we took the kids to a nice air-conditioned, mega-pet store looking for a larger kennel for Chutney. I figure I could use photoshop to alter the pictures to make it look like we were at some exotic habitat that only had goldfish and birds and a few iguana thrown in for good measure.
The girl was mesmerized by the parrots
There was a pseudo apartment complex for birds.
The girl looking at fish
A little photoshop magic and the price tags will be gone.
Not much of a reptile display.
The dog is good. We went over to my parent's house on Sunday and J and my mom showed us some simple training techniques that worked wonders.
Here's the girl pretending to be a dog for J's fiancé.
A thunderstorm has just moved in and with it comes cooler weather.

God awful weather here. Hot, muggy and just plain nasty. Hopefully, Boston should be better.
The kids are cute.
The girl is just adorable!
And so are you.

Is that your garden ? So pretty.
Want to see the girl's face now. The head is so cute!!!

YEO- Thanks. Relief is finally here for the midwest.
Anon- Thanks, she is adorable but I'm bias
Rat- Yes, that's part of our garden. Thanks!
Anumita- If you think the back of her head is cute, you should see the front.
Chamique- Welcome! Pet store, zoo. Basically the same thing minus the tigers and elephants and all.
Grrl- The boy lives outside during the summer months. He's sporting quite the tan these days. As for the training, my mother should write a book. She's like the Dog Whisperer.
I just want to squeeeeeeze your dog.
OMG run!! Hide Chutney!! Jay is on a rampage .. *giggle*
Quick hide chutney before Jay gets to him. But seriously he looks so droopy-eyed and adorable. Between do post pix of your kids.
My niece thinks she is Hamlet's sister... even learned to grrrrowl when she didn't get her own way! Yes, Hamlet is my sister's crazy dog! I'm sure your little girl has lots more to learn from Chutney!
The kids are cute! ;)
